gah damn, my blogging doodies have gone by the wayside. so, what's happened since april 08, 2009? lots! can i remember any of it? no. here are some vague recollections in no particular order: 3! val turned 3! she requested a yellow dinosaur cake and auntie outdid herself again with an adorable, giant yellow dinosaur cake. it was cute, delicious and lasted through weeks of noshing. every time val was asked what she got for her birthday, she'd proudly holler "I GOT A YELLOW DINOSAUR CAKE!!! MY AUNTIE MADE IT!!!" nothing else compared. =D we had the party at the same park as last year but with added drama. there was some event going on that required all the park staff to work it so no one would be available to turn on the water, which is the only reason we go through all this (and hassle viv) two years in a row now, but luckily, in some random cosmos-aligning event, liz contacted a former professor who got the water turned on. whew! in addition to all our friends and family, clara came down with her girl and husband, which was awesome because we haven't seen each other in years. what? huh? i am in denial and will be excited when #2 gets here. i've told my family, well, the two that matter, my mother and my aunt and unsurprisingly, i'm disappointed in their reactions. my aunt pulled the "why didn't you adopt" line of questioning, as if making that decision and everything involved in that is easy. hockey i'm playing mondays at !ce oasis for a season since it's about the only time we figured we could fit it in. it's been fun but tiring since i play two days in a row. hoping to work on stuff but getting stuck in my head so i need to push it and work on improving. sigh. work ah, work. it's so laughably stupid, it's not even worth the time and effort to write and for you, to read. i haven't gotten to the point where i have to flee this place yet because i don't wanna deal with getting a new job, plus the benefits are good, which makes me extra lazy.
